2017 Examination Schedule

The examination schedule for 2016 is as follows: February 2, 2017(Deadline for applications: January 26, 2017) April 4, 2017(Deadline for applications: March 28, 2017) July 27, 2017(Deadline for applications: July 20, 2017) November 9, 2017(Deadline for applications: November 2, 2017)  *All exams take place at the PANB office: 298 Main Street, in Fredericton, NB at 10:00AM (AT) unless otherwise indicated. All application documentation and fees must be received by the application deadline, no later than 04:30PM (AT). No exceptions will be made. Paramedics & PTSD

A nationwide survey of Canadian paramedics shows a great number struggling with mental health issues including PTSD. In New Brunswick the research is especially troubling. About 1 out of every 3 New Brunswick paramedics responded to the survey. The figures, while not a complete surprise, are eye-popping and troubling. They show about one-third of New Brunswick paramedics have contemplated suicide, and 70 per cent responded that they were aware of a paramedic, aside from themselves, who thought about committing suicide. The figure jumps to almost 80% of paramedics who reported they were or are worried about a colleague's well being.…

The Care You Deserve

The Paramedic Association of New Brunswick has started an on-line petition as part of a lobby effort to persuade the government to recognize Advanced Care Paramedics. The petition is on a website the Association launched today – www.TheCareYouDeserve.ca PANB President Phil Comeau says New Brunswick is the only province in Canada that does not recognize Advanced Care Paramedics, despite promises to do so by both the current PC and former Liberal governments.
